Tid Bits of Advice

I received this in an email today unrelated to the business I am in, but found that it really applies:

1. It is very easy to call people in your downline and ask their opinion. Sending an email is ok, but a personal call is far more effective.

2. Some people just need a gentle push in the right direction. They may never start without it, and may never stop when you make the effort to help.

3. People will follow your lead, if you treat this like a serious business. People who come into your business will do the same.

4. This is a team effort. Contact your upline for advice. Get to know your upline and downline leaders. Work to create new leaders. Everyone is a leader. Find the leader within.

5. You cannot build a networking business and sustain your income without follow-up and helping the people in your group become successful.

And remember...Networking Is a Contact Sport

Is your job safe?

I was just reading the chapter this week in "The Next Millionaires" on job security. Pilzer talks about how home based businesses will be the wave of the future because it is more the "safe" job. He goes on to say that years agi, parents and teachers would tell you to go to school and get a good job. Today, people need to go to school, study in multiple areas, and go in business for themselves.

I know that people are losing their jobs around the country on a daily basis. Today really hit home for us. Today GM announced it would be shutting down 4 of its production plants, including the one here in Janesville, WI. This puts about 2,500 people out of a job. This does not include people indirectly affected by the layoff such as local suppliers and so forth.

So whatever your skill may be, maybe it's time to start looking into securing your future by creating your own business. With today's events, I'm just that much happier that I've found the right business to be involved with.

Great news from downline

So my good friend Jon called me last night from work. He just wanted to tell me that he had mentioned he was now involved with Team MonaVie as well and one of the people he works with mentioned that they had been currently purchasing the product. They said that the product really works well. Jon was quite excited. Now he is lining up a new customer and is pumped to hear that other people are having great success with MonaVie.
